Margaret Prosser feels time spent in the garden is greatly uplifting during the lockdown and sent in 3 pictures. The tulip bulbs were bought at last Autumn Harrogate Flower Show, flowered for many weeks giving great pleasure.

This Honeysuckle was grown from a small cutting from Margaret’s Cousin’s farm in Sleightholmedale on the North Yorkshire Moors. Fortunately it also seems to enjoy City life

Liz Parry took these two photos at their Hempland Lane allotment where they feel lucky to spend many happy hours with a flask of coffee and see other allotment holders and say hello to passing dog walkers (all at safe distance)

Sylvia Fishwick took this photograph before the sparrows she is providing B&B for in the Beech Hedge at rear of picture came to drink from the sunken plastic pot and pecked off the Primula petals. Sylvia likes to share her garden with nature.

When all club activities, including the planned holiday in Scotland, had been cancelled due to the coronavirus it was a difficult time for everybody but hopefully gardeners were able to keep active and positive as the gardening season was in full swing. With this in mind I thought that sharing photographs with each other of gardens, flowers, projects, wildlife etc both at home and discovered on our daily exercise would be a positive way to keep interaction alive between Club Members. Now things are opening up - we even managed our holiday in Scotland this June and evening meetings have been scheduled for the autumn - maybe club members would like to continue sending in pictures of their gardens or visits to other places.
